Code Of Ethics
PMCT Accountants and Consultants will provide a first rate service based on the following principles:
• PMCT will serve clients with integrity, competence, and objectivity, using a professional approach at all times, and placing the best interests of the client in our approach.
• PMCT will establish realistic expectations of the benefits and results.
• PMCT will treat all client information that is not public knowledge as confidential, will prevent it from access by unauthorised people, and will not take advantage of proprietary or privileged information without the client’s permission.
• PMCT will avoid conflicts of interest, or the appearance of such, and will disclose to a client any circumstances or interests that might influence their judgment and objectivity.
• PMCT only accepts assignments which we possess the expertise to perform, and will only assign individuals with the requisite expertise.
• PMCT will ensure that before accepting any engagement a mutual understanding of the objectives, scope, work plan, and fee arrangements has been established.
• PMCT will offer to withdraw from a consulting engagement when their objectivity or integrity may be impaired.
This Code of Ethics sets out the minimum ethical standards for all directors, officers and employees of PMCT. We are committed to enforcing these standards through effective internal systems reporting structures and PMCT’s Always Honest compliance program. Violators will be subject to disciplinary action.
Our directors, officers and employees, in conducting the business of the company will comply with applicable laws and regulations, and conduct themselves with honesty and integrity. Our members would always avoid engaging in any conduct where their personal interests interfere or appear to interfere with those of PMCT Code of Ethics.
Our members will advance the legitimate interests of PMCT when the opportunity arises and avoid practices that compete with PMCT directly or indirectly. It is deemed inappropriate for a member to use PMCT property, information, or their position with PMCT for personal gain to the detriment of PMCT and or its users.
Our members undertake to deal fairly and respect the rights of PMCT customers, suppliers, competitors and employees. It is against our policy to for anyone to be engaged in offering or accept bribes either directly or indirectly with any stage of our process. We do not allow a member or anyone given agency rights to report to work in condition to perform their duties under influence of alcohol or illegal drugs on the basis that it projects negative image of PMCT.
Our members protect PMCT’s assets, ensure their proper and efficient use of both tangible and intangible assets including proprietary information such as trade secrets, patents, trademarks, and copyrights, marketing and service plans, designs, databases, records, salary information and any unpublished financial data and reports.
Our members preserve confidentiality of information entrusted to them by PMCT or its customers except when disclosure is authorised or is legally mandated. To this effect our members do not use or share confidential information of a transaction except to conduct PMCT’s business.
We endeavour to keep honest and accurate records and reports of company, remittance and deposit information as part of our due diligence and compliance processes. It must be noted that we have obligation to provide full, fair, accurate, timely and understandable disclosures about PMCT operations to many governmental agencies.
We respect the diversity of PMCT’s employees and not engage in wrongful discrimination or harassment. We maintain a safe and healthy workplace for all employees by following safety and health rules and practices and reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe practices or conditions.
Our members police our Code of Ethics and would promptly report work-related activities by a member personnel that violate the law, this Code and any other PMCT policy. Reports of violations may be made to a manager, the Compliance Officer, an executive officer of PMCT by a confidential report.
Reports of violations by executive officers or senior financial personnel must be made to a PMCT Director.
PMCT does not permit retaliation of any kind for reports of misconduct made in good faith. If a member has questions about this Code of Ethics, our compliance programs or whether conduct may violate this Code, the law or a compliance program, you should consult with a supervisor, the Compliance Officer or an executive officer of PMCT.
Waivers of this Code of Ethics may be made only upon written request submitted to and approved by PMCT Directors. Changes in or waivers of the Code of Ethics will be promptly disclosed as required by applicable law or regulation.
